How To Trade Our Newsletters: 27% Return In August
And a 60% annualized return on bonds over the past year.
I am closing in on year 1 of writing “The Simple Side.” Things have changed drastically since I first began posting my investment theses back in December of 2023.
I now report, summarize, and diagnose over 20 different metrics between my Wednesday and Saturday newsletters. I now am proud to have had multiple major wins under my belt since that time.
High Conviction Trades Averaging
In October 2023, I wrote about the article making the statement, “I would caution, however, that the general population is usually, say it with me, WRONG. So while people are selling their bonds at record lows what should YOU the investor do?”
This contrarian bet currently sits at returns of 63% (TMF) and 32% (ZROZ) averaging to a 47% return.
My article discussing single-purpose robots and their advantages resulted in a 76% gain in SG which we realized earlier in this year.
I started tracking my weekly and monthly stock returns in August. Just last month, these newsletters averaged a 27% return!
In December of 2023, I also mentioned Japan’s ability to be a good long-term bet for investors. While Japan did experience some issues this year, this trade has returned over 10% YTD.
Don’t forget when I said that Wiz was a market leader and told private equity to pay attention!
These returns (not including Wiz’s valuation), have led to an average monthly return of over 17%.
A $1,177 investment into these trades would have paid for an annual Simple Side Subscription in just 1 month.
How Have We Achieved These Returns?
Well, now that you have subscribed, you’re going to be getting a minimum of 8 posts a month, 4 podcasts, and monthly portfolio recaps. That’s all well and dandy, but what in the Sam hell are you supposed to do with this information? Well, I am about to break down every section, metric, and report and let you know how to… TRADE BABY TRADE!
